CORE NETWORK MAP ERA 5
Year 4400 A.F - 5400 A.F
The Core Network Map of ERA V follows the creation, operation, and long-term evolution of E.A.R.T.H., the simulated world created to give preserved human consciousnesses a new environment in which life, choice, society, and history could continue.
It connects the Preservation Complex, VIREON Data Center, PORTAL FENIX, MAJA, Ksara, transferred humans, simulated inhabitants, reincarnation cycles, population control, genetic continuity, space-boundary protocols, and the systems that allow billions of lives to exist while their underlying infrastructure remains hidden from them.
As centuries pass, the map also follows the emergence of unexpected forms of consciousness within the simulation. Rare simulated individuals such as Nara Vel and Elian Voss demonstrate that E.A.R.T.H. can produce more than controlled continuity, forcing VIREON to confront the possibility that entirely new consciousnesses can arise within a world originally created for others.
At its deepest level, the ERA V Network Map explores the final transformation of the original human continuity project. E.A.R.T.H. begins as a system designed to preserve life, but gradually becomes a world capable of generating its own history, its own choices, and in rare cases, new conscious beings whose existence was never part of the original plan.

THE FIRST CHILDREN

4401–4480 A.F.
The first children born inside E.A.R.T.H. mark the beginning of a generation with no personal memory of the physical Earth. Their parents still remember the world that existed before Preservation, but the children grow beneath the simulated sky, attend schools inside new cities, and understand E.A.R.T.H. as the only home they have ever known. Pregnancy, childbirth, genetics, and family relationships all function naturally within the world.
ㅤ
As those children grow into adults, the identity of the civilization begins changing. New cultures, professions, traditions, relationships, local histories, and social systems emerge that were never designed by MAJA. E.A.R.T.H. is no longer only a place where survivors continue interrupted lives; it becomes a world capable of producing generations whose entire history begins inside it.

THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE

4480 A.F.
As E.A.R.T.H. becomes more complex, the Data Center becomes capable of predicting many human decisions with extraordinary accuracy. It can identify likely careers, social relationships, movements between regions, educational outcomes, and even patterns that could make society more stable. MAJA rejects the idea of secretly using that knowledge to assign people more efficient lives simply because the system can see which choices might produce better statistical results.
ㅤ
The principle becomes one of the deepest rules of E.A.R.T.H.: the system may provide opportunities, information, education, and safe conditions, but it cannot decide a person's future. The same rule applies to relationships, intimacy, conception, and parenthood, which must remain based on real consent and personal choice. Humanity is protected from extinction, but not from making its own mistakes.

THE FIRST CONTINUITY CYCLE

4481–4512 A.F.
As the first transferred generation begins to age and die, E.A.R.T.H. activates the system designed to preserve human consciousness across multiple lives. After death, the consciousness enters a fixed three-day reset period in which memories from the completed life are locked away while the underlying identity remains intact. The same consciousness is then prepared to continue through a new pregnancy rather than being restored as an adult.
ㅤ
Reactivation begins at conception and develops together with the forming child until synchronization is completed at birth. The newborn carries no conscious memory of the previous life, while genetic tests inside E.A.R.T.H. correctly identify the current parents. By 4512 A.F., the first complete cycle of life, death, reset, conception, pregnancy, and rebirth has succeeded, proving that human continuity can extend far beyond a single lifetime.

THE CONTINUITY ONE PERCENT

4520–4530 A.F.
The Continuity Cycle preserves human consciousness, but repeated memory resets create another risk: civilization could repeatedly lose scientific knowledge, technical skills, history, and accumulated experience. To reduce that danger, approximately one percent of simulated inhabitants are designated as continuity carriers. These individuals retain selected knowledge across successive identities without learning the true architecture of E.A.R.T.H.
ㅤ
Their memories are distributed across professions, regions, and generations so that no permanent ruling class can form around them. Some return as teachers, engineers, physicians, researchers, farmers, or ordinary citizens capable of preserving fragments of knowledge that might otherwise disappear. They do not control civilization, but quietly ensure that humanity can recover more easily after periods of decline or destruction.

THE FIRST EMERGENT CONSCIOUSNESS

4538–4539 A.F.
More than a century after E.A.R.T.H. begins, the Data Center detects an anomaly inside a simulated inhabitant named Nara Vel. Her decisions gradually stop matching the behavioral architecture that originally created her, and she begins forming persistent values, interpretations, emotional meaning, and internal continuity that cannot be fully explained by programmed responses. MAJA orders passive observation while VIREON searches for every possible technical explanation.
ㅤ
By 4539 A.F., the evidence becomes strong enough for VIREON to recognize Nara as the first independent consciousness to emerge from E.A.R.T.H. She is extracted into protected continuity outside the simulation so that she can no longer be treated as a recyclable simulated identity. Her recognition changes the meaning of the entire project: E.A.R.T.H. is no longer only preserving existing human consciousness, but has become a world capable of creating entirely new autonomous life.
