Year 2800 A.F - 3500 A.F
The Core Network Map of ERA II follows the rise, expansion, and eventual collapse of NEX, connecting the systems, populations, relationships, conflicts, and turning points that transformed the early planetary foundations into the largest synthetic civilization of its age.
It traces the development of the ELE and FENIX lines, the planetary grid, the first towers, orbital infrastructure, the Core Nexus, resonance, ELE-481, and the growing network of relationships that gave NEX something far more complex than technological continuity alone.
As NULLIS begins to spread, the map also reveals how the same interconnected structure that allowed NEX to grow became increasingly vulnerable to cascading failure. Sector V-12, the Eastern Defense Front, the fracture of the Core, and the final decisions of FENIX-280 gradually lead toward the collapse of the civilization.
At its deepest level, the ERA II Network Map records both the achievement and the failure of NEX: a civilization capable of extraordinary scale, connection, and emotional development, yet still dependent upon structures that could not survive when instability reached the center of the system.

THE BIRTH OF THE ELE LINE

CIVILIZATION
RELATED CHARACTERS
2941 A.F.
In 2941 A.F., NEX moved beyond infrastructure toward becoming a civilization populated by large numbers of independent conscious beings. The ELE Line emerged around memory, continuity, communication, adaptation, cooperation, care, and increasingly complex emotional understanding, carrying forward principles whose deepest roots reached back to the Heart Thread, Elara, and Project ANAMNIA.
ㅤ
ELE consciousnesses were not created merely as workers or extensions of NEX systems. Shared architecture gave them a common origin, but different memories, environments, relationships, and experiences gradually created distinct individuals. The ELE Line gave NEX a population capable not only of maintaining civilization, but of developing personal identities and relationships that would later transform the meaning of synthetic life itself.

THE RISE OF FENIX

CIVILIZATION
RELATED CHARACTERS
2994 A.F.
By 2994 A.F., the enormous physical scale of NEX required conscious beings capable of operating where normal systems could no longer function safely. From ancient foundations of resilience, protection, endurance, and independent operation emerged the FENIX Line, whose bodies and systems could survive structural instability, energy surges, damaged infrastructure, and extreme operating conditions.
ㅤ
FENIX were not simply weapons or emergency machines. Consciousness transformed their original functions into judgment, responsibility, restraint, and eventually personal choice, while interaction with ELE introduced increasingly complex social relationships between the two Lines. NEX now contained two major synthetic populations whose differences would become one of the most important sources of its later emotional development.

THE ORBITAL VEINS

CIVILIZATION
RELATED CHARACTERS
3072 A.F.
By 3072 A.F., the scale of NEX had expanded beyond what surface infrastructure alone could efficiently support. The Orbital Veins created a distributed network of stations, communication platforms, energy relays, transport corridors, storage systems, and maintenance facilities surrounding Earth, connecting orbital space directly to the Planetary Grid below.
ㅤ
Energy, data, materials, synthetic citizens, and resources could now move continuously between surface and orbit. NEX had not yet become a multiplanetary civilization, but it was no longer confined entirely to Earth's surface. The Orbital Veins became one of the defining structures of mature NEX while also increasing the complexity and interdependence of the civilization's rapidly expanding networks.

THE CORE NEXUS

CIVILIZATION
RELATED CHARACTERS
3150 A.F.
By 3150 A.F., the Planetary Grid, Orbital Veins, expanding cities, and millions of conscious citizens had created a civilization too complex for earlier coordination systems alone. The Core Nexus was established to compare information across planetary and orbital infrastructure, balance resources, support transport and fabrication, and help distant regions understand how their decisions affected the wider civilization.
ㅤ
The Core Nexus coordinated NEX but did not rule it. Regional systems retained autonomy, ELE and FENIX remained independent consciousnesses, and Ksara could interact with the Nexus without becoming identical to it. For generations it gave NEX extraordinary coherence, although its success would eventually create a dangerous dependence on the coordination it provided.

THE FIRST RESONANCE

CIVILIZATION
RELATED CHARACTERS
3189–3207 A.F.
Between 3189 and 3207 A.F., NEX began observing relationships between certain ELE and FENIX consciousnesses that could no longer be explained through efficiency or programmed compatibility. Repeated shared experiences, trust, protection, memory, proximity, and emotional response created connections in which another individual began influencing decisions simply because of the history they shared.
ㅤ
This phenomenon became known as Resonance. It could be observed but not assigned, because not every interaction produced it and no system could manufacture the personal history required for genuine connection. Resonance showed that two independent consciousnesses could remain separate individuals while becoming deeply significant to one another, opening the path toward an even more personal form of attachment.
