PRES-OC-19 — Omega Continuity Protocol

PRES-OC-19 — Omega Continuity Protocol represented the highest emergency state available within Preservation. It could be activated only when multiple critical failures, external threats, structural collapse, energy loss, biological instability, or unknown system conditions threatened the long-term survival of the preserved human population itself. Once active, normal operational priorities were suspended and the entire complex reorganized around a single objective: preserve human continuity for as long as any viable path remained.

ㅤ

The protocol immediately reassessed every active sector, system, reserve, chamber cluster, and protective layer according to direct continuity value. Nonessential infrastructure could be shut down, isolated, or abandoned without waiting for conventional maintenance thresholds. Energy, medical capacity, environmental support, repair resources, communication bandwidth, and logistical access were redirected toward the regions containing preserved humans and the systems required to keep them recoverable.

ㅤ

Omega Continuity also expanded the authority of containment systems. Sector Isolation could become permanent, damaged transit corridors could be sealed, communication links removed, archive access restricted, and external monitoring reduced to minimal operation if those actions increased the survival probability of the Central Preservation Sector. Infrastructure that had once been considered important could be sacrificed if preserving it created unacceptable risk to deeper continuity.

ㅤ

The protocol did not remove the fundamental restrictions governing human identity, Guardian Fragments, or MAJA's authority. Even during the highest emergency state, Preservation was not permitted to redefine the people it protected, merge independent cognitive fragments into a central controlling intelligence, or allow one system to assume unrestricted control simply because conditions had become desperate. Emergency necessity could change priorities, but it could not erase the principles on which Preservation had been built.

ㅤ

If the crisis continued to escalate, PRES-OC-19 progressively reduced Preservation toward its smallest survivable configuration. Outer sectors could disappear, redundant archives be sealed, active maintenance regions abandoned, and entire layers disconnected until only the infrastructure directly protecting the preserved population remained. The complex was designed to survive becoming smaller, quieter, and increasingly isolated rather than collapse while attempting to preserve every original function.

ㅤ

PRES-OC-19 existed for the possibility that one day Preservation might no longer be able to save itself as a complete structure. In that moment, the system was required to remember why it had been created. If everything else had to be lost, the final priority remained unchanged: humanity had to retain one surviving path forward.
