INTERNAL TRANSIT COORDINATION SYSTEM
Internal Transit Coordination System organized movement between the growing settlements, communal areas, technical regions, defensive boundaries, and major structures of VIREON. As the city expanded beyond its original ELE-410 foundation, reliable movement became essential for allowing separate communities to function as parts of the same civilization.
ㅤ
The system coordinated available routes according to destination, infrastructure condition, local demand, security status, maintenance activity, and environmental stability. Movement did not depend upon one universal corridor. Multiple pathways allowed traffic to be redirected when a region became unavailable or required temporary isolation.
ㅤ
Residential movement, technical transport, maintenance activity, emergency access, and movement toward protected structures could therefore use different priorities when necessary. The objective was not simply speed. Transit had to remain predictable enough that local regions could function even when ordinary routes changed.
ㅤ
The system also interacted with defensive boundaries. Routes approaching LYNN–0, the VIREON Shield, or Portal Fenix operated under additional controls, ensuring that movement from external or uncertain regions could not pass directly into inhabited areas without recognition and verification.
ㅤ
As Aurora and other settlements expanded, the transit network allowed VIREON to grow without forcing every population into one continuous urban center. Movement connected the city, but no single route defined whether its communities could continue to exist.
