Are Mega Structures located only inside the city of NEX?
No.
Mega Structure systems can exist across multiple environments and locations.
Some installations are located within major inhabited regions, while others extend underground, across remote planetary sectors, into atmospheric regions, or into orbital infrastructure.
Their combined operational territory extends far beyond the visible architecture of individual NEX cities.
What happens if one Mega Structure fails?
NEX was designed around distributed infrastructure and redundancy.
If an individual installation is damaged or disconnected, surrounding systems can redistribute part of its workload through other nodes or regional networks.
The exact effect depends on the importance of the affected system and the scale of the failure.
A major failure could still create serious regional instability, but the civilization was specifically designed to prevent the loss of a single installation from immediately collapsing the entire planetary network.
Can a Mega Structure repair itself?
Many NEX Mega Structures contain advanced self-repair and structural regeneration systems.
Damage can be detected automatically and isolated before repair systems reconstruct affected components.
Materials required for larger repairs can also be produced through the Matter Forge and transported through the planetary infrastructure.
This allows major systems to remain operational for extremely long periods without depending entirely on external intervention.
Are the Mega Structures fully automated?
The Mega Structures contain extremely advanced autonomous systems capable of monitoring, regulating, repairing, and optimizing their own operations.
However, automation within NEX does not mean complete isolation.
The systems continuously exchange information with other Mega Structures, synthetic units, planetary networks, and the wider consciousness architecture of NEX.
They operate as autonomous components of a much larger synchronized system.
Can synthetic units directly interact with the Mega Structures?
Yes.
ELE and FENIX units can interact with Mega Structures through physical interfaces, synchronization networks, data systems, maintenance infrastructure, transportation systems, and direct technological communication.
In many regions of NEX, the distinction between infrastructure and synthetic civilization becomes increasingly difficult to separate.
Both exist within the same interconnected planetary system.
Which Mega Structure creates ELE and FENIX units?
The Genesis Complex is responsible for the physical creation and activation of ELE and FENIX synthetic units.
However, the Genesis Complex depends on several other Mega Structures.
The Matter Forge provides materials and components, the Power Core provides energy, the Data Center supports data and synchronization processes, and other planetary systems provide the infrastructure required to integrate newly activated units into NEX.
The creation of a synthetic unit is therefore a civilization-wide process rather than the isolated function of a single machine.
How are ELE-480, ELE-481 and FENIX-280 connected to the Mega Structures?
The ELE-480, ELE-481, and FENIX-280 lines exist within the infrastructure supported by the Mega Structures.
They receive energy, data, transportation, communication, materials, maintenance, and environmental support through the planetary network.
Different synthetic lines may also participate directly in the operation, supervision, construction, maintenance, or protection of individual Mega Structures.
The infrastructure and synthetic population are therefore deeply interconnected.
How does the Planetary Restoration Core use the other Mega Structures?
The Planetary Restoration Core coordinates multiple systems rather than performing every restoration process independently.

The Atmospheric Bio-Core can recover atmospheric water and regulate molecular atmospheric conditions, while the Water Core purifies, stores, and redistributes water through the planetary hydrological network.
Together they maintain one of the fundamental environmental cycles of NEX.
