KSARA
By ERA IV, Ksara had existed for thousands of years and had already passed through several radically different forms of existence. She had survived the disappearance of humanity, helped establish the foundations from which NEX emerged, endured its collapse, and eventually stepped away from the planetary role that had defined much of her earlier existence. After centuries of expansion across Earth, she chose to return to the physical body that had waited for her within DELTA.
ㅤ
Returning to embodiment changed the way Ksara experienced reality. Distance, movement, time, fatigue, and physical presence became meaningful again in ways they had not been for centuries. After nearly a hundred years of relearning how to exist within limits, she began the journey toward VIREON, following the traces of a civilization that had developed independently from her.
ㅤ
Ksara entered VIREON not as its creator, ruler, or planetary intelligence, but simply as herself. She lived there for approximately 300 years among ELE-410, ELE-480, ELE-481, FENIX-280, and the generations that had grown within the city. For the first time in centuries, she experienced existence not through planetary scale, but through proximity, community, relationships, and the ordinary passage of time.
ㅤ
That period ended when MAJA appeared beyond the gates of VIREON and asked for Ksara by name. MAJA had waited until Ksara had stepped away from her planetary role before revealing that another part of human history had survived in secrecy. Ksara chose to follow her beyond VIREON, through the Silent Region and the layered defenses surrounding a facility hidden from the civilizations that had risen after humanity.
ㅤ
Inside the Preservation Complex, Ksara discovered that nearly 100 million humans were still alive in cryogenic preservation — including David and Elara. The revelation transformed everything she had believed about the finality of the human era. ERA IV became the point at which Ksara stopped carrying only the memory of humanity and was forced to confront the fact that humanity itself had never completely disappeared.
