The Alters

The Alters is a story-driven science-fiction survival adventure centered on Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of a disastrous space expedition. Stranded on a hostile planet where exposure to the rising sun means certain death, Jan must keep a massive mobile base operational while searching for a way to escape. Unable to manage the station alone, he uses a mysterious substance called Rapidium to create Alters — alternative versions of himself whose personalities, skills and memories were shaped by different choices in Jan's past. Gameplay combines exploration, resource gathering, crafting, base construction and management with a heavily narrative-driven relationship system. Each Alter has different abilities and emotional needs, and disagreements between them force Jan to confront the consequences of decisions he never made.
