Game Description
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is a story-driven real-time strategy prequel to the original Homeworld, set more than a century before the Kushan discover their ancient mothership. An anomaly is detected deep within Kharak's vast southern desert, prompting Rachel S'jet and a massive expedition fleet to cross hostile territory and uncover the origin of the mysterious object. The campaign gradually reveals events that form an important part of the wider Homeworld history. Unlike the space-based battles of the main series, combat takes place across large terrestrial environments where terrain, elevation and line of sight influence tactical decisions. Players command the massive Kapisi carrier alongside armored vehicles, aircraft and support units while managing resources, researching technologies and preserving veteran units between missions.
