Floodland

Floodland is a post-apocalyptic society survival and city-building strategy game set after catastrophic climate change has transformed the old world into islands, swamps and isolated pockets of civilization. Players lead a group of survivors, explore ruined environments for resources and gradually construct a settlement capable of providing food, water, shelter, healthcare and security to a growing population. Technology research, building upgrades and specialist roles allow the colony to become increasingly sophisticated. Social management is equally important. Different clans bring conflicting cultures and priorities, while the Law Tree allows players to determine how the new society will be governed. Decisions can encourage cooperation or create divisions within the settlement, and procedurally generated maps and events make each campaign different as players attempt to rebuild civilization in a flooded world.
