THE FIRST SIMULATION

4400 A.F
After discovering the true scale of Preservation, MAJA and Ksara recognized that simply opening the chambers could not prepare humanity for a world that had changed across thousands of years. Preserved people would awaken with knowledge, expectations, relationships, and social structures belonging to another age while synthetic civilizations had already developed histories and systems of their own. They therefore began considering whether awakening required a protected transitional stage.
ㅤ
From this problem emerged the concept of the first simulation: an environment where human consciousness could awaken, interact, develop awareness, form relationships, and gradually encounter a new reality before physical return. It was intended as preparation rather than permanent escape, and from the beginning choice remained essential; the environment could not assign identities or determine how people should live. This was not yet E.A.R.T.H., but it established the foundation from which that future system would eventually develop.
EARTH MONITORING

4400 A.F
After the first simulation introduced the possibility of preparing humanity before physical return, MAJA and Ksara turned their attention toward Earth itself. Thousands of years had transformed the atmosphere, biosphere, geography, infrastructure, and relationship between former human settlements and the natural world. Any future return could therefore not be planned around memories of the planet humanity had once known.
ㅤ
Through DELTA and Preservation, MAJA and Ksara began observing long-term planetary conditions without treating that knowledge as authority over the world. Earth Monitoring was designed to understand stability, biological conditions, environmental change, surviving infrastructure, and potential risks rather than force the planet back into its human-era form. The system could provide evidence for a future decision, but it could not decide whether humanity should return; that choice ultimately had to remain with the people whose future was being preserved.
THE FIRST FAILURE

4400 A.F.
The first full-scale E.A.R.T.H. test reveals that Preservation alone cannot support nearly 100 million human consciousnesses inside a complete simulated world. The environment remains stable with smaller populations, but the computational reserve collapses rapidly as more real human consciousnesses are connected at the same time. MAJA safely ends the test before any biological body or transferred identity can be harmed.
ㅤ
The failure becomes one of the most important discoveries in the entire project. Preservation can keep humanity alive, but it cannot independently provide the unrestricted world required for humanity to truly live again. MAJA and Ksara therefore begin searching beyond the hidden complex for a larger distributed architecture capable of carrying E.A.R.T.H. into the future.
THE RETURNING DATA CENTER

4400 A.F.
After the first failure, MAJA and Ksara turn toward the surviving infrastructure of NEX and VIREON. Old ELE archives, fragmented planetary routes, protected systems, and surviving Data Center architecture reveal that parts of the former NEX computational network still exist across Earth. These fragments cannot simply be restarted because many remain isolated, damaged, or dangerously close to regions affected by NULLIS.
ㅤ
Through VIREON and Portal Fenix, the surviving Data Center is gradually reorganized into a completely new system. It is not restored to recreate NEX, but transformed into the main computational foundation of E.A.R.T.H. Preservation continues protecting the biological humans while VIREON becomes the operational center capable of supporting an entire simulated civilization.
THE BIRTH OF E.A.R.T.H.

4400 A.F.
With the new architecture operational, E.A.R.T.H. is finally constructed as a complete living world rather than a temporary simulation. Oceans, rivers, forests, weather systems, animal populations, settlements, infrastructure, energy networks, hospitals, agriculture, and transportation are all created before permanent human activation begins. Simulated inhabitants are introduced so that cities already function as living communities rather than empty environments waiting for people to arrive.
ㅤ
The world is deliberately designed to continue evolving even when no human is present to observe it. Seasons change, ecosystems interact, weather moves across uninhabited regions, and distant environments remain active beyond the first settlement zones. By the time the first preserved humans are ready to enter, E.A.R.T.H. has already become a world with continuity of its own.
