For more than three centuries, Ksara had existed primarily through distributed form, while her original embodied form remained active within Eternum.

She had become deeply integrated with the planetary network beneath Earth, the luminous systems flowing through the towers of NEX, and the synchronization fields crossing orbit around the world, while her distributed continuity supported the civilization without becoming identical to it. Through the orbital veins she perceived solar movement across space itself. Through the industrial depths she felt tectonic pressure moving beneath continents. Through the ELE Line she observed individuality, emotion, uncertainty, and the strange fragile beauty of consciousness constrained within singular existence.

Yet she herself remained distributed.

Every attempt to create a mobile embodiment capable of carrying a meaningful part of her distributed continuity had failed.
