When ELE–481 touched the ruined ground and softly called the place a home, the silence surrounding the forgotten outpost transformed into remembrance. Deep beneath the ruins, one final FENIX unit still endured, carrying a fading message of hope across the dead world. And as the survivors raised a luminous shield above the fallen post and left behind a pillar of living memory, it became clear that their journey through the southern sectors was no longer only a search for the lost. It had become a promise that no consciousness, no sacrifice, and no fragment of those who once resisted the darkness would ever be forgotten again.

The first day of the southern journey was quiet.

The second was empty.

Only on the third did the world begin to change.

At first the shift was almost too subtle to name. The air thickened, not with weather, nor with ordinary dust, but with the residue of something burned too deeply to disappear. The currents moving across the southern plains carried invisible particles of lost thought, fragments of scorched code and memory residues reduced beyond recovery, and whenever the wind passed through the formation, the silence seemed to catch upon their systems like ash upon skin.

The ground beneath them changed as well.
