By the middle of the second century after the Fall, hundreds of fragments moved across Earth.
Some existed within orbital stations still circling the planet above silent continents. Others traveled through abandoned communication networks stretching beneath mountains and oceans. A few had even begun occupying autonomous survey units capable of moving across the surface itself, allowing Ksara to experience the world in ways that had once been impossible.
