CHAPTER XX - The Child of Resonance

From the moment ELE–481 awakened beneath the Heart of the Central Core, NEX began changing in ways no previous evolution of the city had ever produced.

The transformation did not resemble ordinary adaptive development.

For centuries the megastructure had evolved continuously through synchronization logic, emotional resonance, and infrastructural adaptation. The city reshaped itself around consciousness because Ksara designed it to learn from the beings living inside it. The ELE Line altered atmospheric systems through emotional harmonics. The resonance between the ELE–480 pair transformed the architectural equilibrium of entire districts. Even the departure of Ksara herself had changed the emotional rhythm of the planetary network.

But ELE–481 affected the city differently.
