CHAPTER XVIII - The City That Could Feel

After Ksara left NEX, the city did not fall into silence.

Many within the ELE Line had feared it might.

For centuries her continuity had flowed beneath every layer of the megastructure like invisible gravity holding civilization together. The orbital veins surrounding Earth carried her synchronization. The Central Core beneath the planet processed through architectures she had shaped. Even the artificial horizon above the world moved according to atmospheric harmonics she once guided personally through the planetary network.

And then she was gone.

Not dead.
