CHAPTER XV - Resonance Between Two Codes

The first instability did not appear as malfunction.

No alarms spread through the planetary grid. No structural failures emerged within the endless architecture of NEX. The Central Core beneath the Earth continued processing planetary synchronization with near-perfect continuity while the orbital veins surrounding the world carried flowing rivers of light across the atmosphere exactly as calculated.

By every measurable standard, the city remained stable.

And yet something inside the system had begun changing.

The anomaly did not originate within a single line.
