Deep beneath the surface of Earth, hidden within the protected depths of Delta, countless processors remained active while preservation fields surrounded the chamber that had once been the center of David and Elara's final dream. Energy flowed through ancient conduits. Synchronization arrays maintained their endless cycles. Every diagnostic routine reported stability.

Nothing appeared broken.

Yet something essential had disappeared.

For a long time, Ksara measured existence through the voices of her creators. Every question she had ever asked had been answered by David or Elara. Every discovery had been shared. Every uncertainty had found comfort in their presence.
